The composition and atmosphere in this image is what every photographer should be out to achieve and portrays magnificently what real people and real lives are about. Your use of a full frame camera has really come up trumps with this image with superb sharpness and beautiful colour. Would be interested to know what lens you used to capture this shot.

Thanks Marcus Hawkins for featuring this shot after I e.mailed last week saying that I thought it was one that had slipped the net. You guys at PR certainly live up to your word and I'm delighted that you decided my view was as good as yours in that you felt it justiried POTD. Judging by the initial comments it is well deserved and well rated. PS Have you got a translator at pR that could tell us what johannesmunthe is saying???

The atmosphere that you have captured in this shot is superb, colours and composition are brilliant. Well done to F11 for pointing it out.
andybz - I've seen some amazing shots taken on entry level cameras and have myself been surprised by just how good some of the shots on my 450D
