Thanks to all involved
I have just found out that I came 2nd in the Planet Earth category. I am speechless and overwhelmed!!
Congratulations to all winners and participants.
I would be very grateful if someone could possibly make some photographs at the exhibition and share them. I found it impossible to get from Helsinki to London for many reasons.
My best to each and everyone of you
Peter

Delighted to see the £10,000 prize going to an Icelandic enrty - this beautiful country and its lovely inhabitants certainly deserve a break - especially after its recent "financial woes".
The winning image was indeed outstanding - it far outshone all other entries - congratulations to Bragi J. Ingibergsson - you produced not only a top quality, eye catching image - but an extremely unique one.
Regards Gil.

Well done to the winner - a lovely image with great composition and atmosphere. I have to say though, and it is only my personal opinion, that I am surprised by some of the other 1st 2nd and 3rd placed images in some of the categories. I base this opinion on some of the most superb pictures I have seen during the download period before the competition closed to entries, of which none are winners!
This is not a criticism of the Judges as there was obviously a great deal of consideration before choosing, but I am now really puzzled as to what is perceived to be a winning picture.

This is very enjoyable news of a respected rector and senior priest of a big congregation within the National Church of Iceland, a colleague and a friend The winning picture is witnessing to his many talents and refined personal qualities. Congratulation sr. Bragi.

Thank you so much!
I awoke this morning to discover that I'd made it to 3rd place in the Destination Everywhere category with my shot The S.S. Perception! I am having a hard time typing this from the floor (shock has still not worn off) but do want to thank the judges and everyone involved. I am truly humbled to be considered among such talented artists.
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you again.
