Digital Camera Photographer of the Year
The biggest photography competition of the year has closed!
Fancy getting your work seen by hundreds of thousands of other photographers and influential picture editors, for free? How about getting in with the chance of winning £10,000 and being declared Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2009?
The Digital Camera Photographer of the Year competition is better than ever this year, with categories to suit everyone – from ‘Black & White’ to ‘Fashion’ and from ‘Destination Everywhere’ to ‘This is Britain’.
As ever, the competition will be hotly contested and luckily we’ve got a brilliant judging panel to unearth the most inspirational and creative images.
Judges include award winning wildlife photographer, Steve Bloom, Magum Photos’ Archive Director, Nick Galvin and the Telegraph’s Picture editor, Kim Scott-Clark.
The competition is now closed, but you can view all of the images on the Photographer of the Year website, the final shortlist will be announced in October so watch this space!

Oh Can I be the first to post here? Wonderful!
I have been entering the POTY competition since 2007 and love to be part of it. I know there are many of you, who have problems with several aspects of it, but for me, a rank amateur I'm happy to share my photo's with the world. I know I'll never win, so won't be disappointed.
Biggest problem is to get the world to have a look at them, so here's your invitation! They are under my username (reinardina) and I'll see if I can even put a link here. Comments welcome.
