Proud Camden displays work of rock photographer Sophie Jarry until March

Rock ‘n Roll Animals, a photographic portrait of contemporary music, features images of Jack White, MGMT, The Kills and more.

French born Sophie Jarry started taking photographs 10 years ago. Inspired by the works of legendary photojournalists like Henri Cartier Bresson, what began as a hobby is now a profession for Jarry.

Combining her love of photography with her love of live music, Rock ‘n Roll Animals showcases some of her work to date.

Featuring many of the leading names in today’s music scene, each of the shots have been taken with a desire to capture a particular moment.

Contemporary artist such as Jack White from The White Stripes, MGMT, The Kills (see main image above), The Last Shadow Puppets, Pete Doherty and more, the exhibition is billed as a must see for any music fan.

The exhibition, Rock ‘n Roll Animals runs at Proud Camden from 27 January until 21 March 2010. Entrance is free. For more information, visit the Proud Galleries website and see below for more images from the exhibition.

If you want to see real art of the contemporary rock portraits, check Kaley Nelson:

I expected to see her vibrant images when I clicked on this article, not these black and white crap without any rock action.
