Capture King’s Cross at the British Library
Next Shoot Experience event offers chance to discover unknown corners of London
Shoot Experience, the people behind photography treasure hunts, are to stage their next event in association with The British Library. Taking their inspiration from the current Points of View exhibition, teams of up to 4 people can explore hidden London and have their images displayed in a gallery.
Capture King’s Cross takes the 19th century images currently on display in the British Library’s Points of View exhibition as inspiration for a new photography event in February.
Participants can expect a whole day of fun, photographic criticism and images exhibited in a gallery. The day consists of a photography treasure hunt across the King’s Cross area of London, using 8 clues, all you have to do is shoot them to win prizes.
To enter, you’ll need a team of 2-4 people and you’ll need to buy tickets from the British Library box office (tickets cost £7.50 per person). Organisers recommend you take 2 cameras, one for trying out ideas and one for shooting your final 8 images. Make sure your memory card is blank before you arrive as it will be handed in for judging (and returned at the end of the day).
A selection of images from the event will be exhibited at a gallery as part of the King's Cross Reveal festival at the end of April, and all images will be featured on the Shoot Experience website.
Capture King’s Cross takes place on Saturday 20 February, 10am – 6pm at The British Library, London. For more information, visit the Shoot Experience website.
