Photographer of the Year winner Bragi J. Ingibergsson

The Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2009 exhibition opened last night in London. It was a exciting event at which this year’s winners were also announced. You can watch a video from the night here.
 
Bragi J. Ingibergsson, who travelled to the event from Iceland, was announced as the overall winner and can be seen above receiving his £10,000 prize from Digital Camera’s publisher, Matthew Pierce, and non-executive chairman of Jessops, David Adams. Other winners travelled from Italy, Belgium and Germany to take part in the show.
 
The exhibition, which will be held at the Mall Galleries until Sunday 13 December, showcases the winning and commended images. It’s a visual delight and an absolute must for anyone with an appreciation for the art and craft of photography.

Hello to everybody! It has been one of the best evening of my life!! I'm still smiling, everything was so nice, people were friendly and the atmospheare was simply exiciting :-) I wish to thank everybody, all the people I met there and I spoke with (despite of my shyness and shame about my English!).

Really, I'lll never forget that evening. Thank you all for the great organization and contratulations to all winners :-) Keep in touch!! Barbara
